Non-AI Innovations from CES 2025 That Left Us in Awe

CES is renowned for being the stage where groundbreaking innovations make their debut, and this year is no exception.

One of the exceptional showcases is Ugreen’s Nexode 500W charger, which introduces a remarkable level of power and versatility. Equipped with six ports, the charger includes five USB-C and one USB-A port, providing multiple options for your charging needs.

Notably, one of the USB-C ports supports up to 240W, ensuring rapid charging for power-hungry devices. Meanwhile, the remaining four USB-C ports each offer up to 100W, accommodating various devices with ease.

The USB-A port, while smaller in comparison, still delivers a solid maximum output of 20W. This charger promises to enhance your tech experience by combining efficiency and convenience in one compact solution.

2. Swippitt

We are sure you would have imagined a time would come when you can charge your phone in 10 minutes, yes, but oh, now you can charge your phone in not 5 minutes, not 2 minutes but in less than 5 seconds.

Yes. It is crazy. The Swipitt charges your phone in just 2 seconds. The Swippitt Hub is a sleek and intelligent battery hub designed with advanced speed-swapping technology. This innovative system efficiently manages, charges, and stores up to five extra batteries. With its proprietary software, the Hub ensures all five Link batteries are always optimally charged and prepared for quick swaps.

But what happens if there’s a power outage? Don’t worry—the batteries will retain their charge even if the Hub loses power. Impressively, the Hub is ready to exchange a battery with a Link in as little as four seconds after the last swap. Plus, it’s built for the future, offering compatibility with any phone equipped with a Link case.

3. Hisense Mini LED TVs

While LG has been working to make its OLED TVs brighter to compete with Mini LED technology, Hisense introduced its own innovation to enhance its Mini LED TVs. By focusing on delivering higher contrast and more vibrant colors, Hisense aims to rival OLED displays.

One standout development is the new 116-inch Hisense TriChroma LED TV, which boasts the widest color gamut ever seen in a Mini LED display.

This achievement comes from using miniature red, green, and blue optical lenses in its backlight, rather than relying on the standard approach of increasing white light. Despite this unique approach, the TV is no slouch in brightness, reportedly reaching an impressive 10,000 nits, placing it among the brightest in the industry.

That said, the initial version of this TV is expected to come with a hefty price tag. However, it will be fascinating to see if this technology can eventually trickle down to more affordable models in the future, bringing advanced picture quality to a broader audience.

4. Hypershell’s X-series exoskeleton

Hypershell’s X-series exoskeleton is designed to give hikers the extra support they need to conquer challenging trails and reach the summit. With an impressive 1-horsepower output, this innovative device subtly eases the strain on your quads and hips, making every step feel lighter and more manageable.

What sets the X-series apart is its advanced AI-powered motor engine. This smart system performs thousands of predictive calculations per second, continuously analyzing and adapting to your walking patterns. Over time, it builds spatial models tailored to your preferences, ensuring a personalized and seamless hiking experience.

Additionally, the X-series is equipped with 65W fast-charging capabilities, allowing it to go from 0% to 100% in just over an hour. This ensures you’re always ready to hit the trail without lengthy downtime.

5. Bebird EarSight Flow

The Bebird EarSight Flow may resemble a typical pair of over-ear headphones, but it’s far from ordinary. This innovative device is actually a high-tech ear cleaner designed to provide a gentle yet effective cleaning experience.

With its small pods and water spouts, the EarSight Flow shoots a controlled stream of water into your ears, ensuring a thorough clean without causing discomfort. What sets it apart is the integrated camera within the spout, which allows users to watch the cleaning process in real time through a companion app.

Adding to its advanced features, the device includes an intelligent warming system that dries your ears after cleaning, offering a complete and convenient solution for ear care.

6. Hisense L9Q Laser TV

The Hisense L9Q Laser TV brings the movie theater experience right into your home, offering superior picture quality, immersive audio, and an impressive size—all housed in a sleek, luxurious design.

As a short-throw 4K digital projector, it delivers a crystal-clear and vibrant image on a wall or projection screen, with a screen size ranging from 100 to 150 inches up to an astonishing 12.5 feet in height.

In essence, the Hisense L9Q Laser TV serves as an innovative, all-in-one home theater solution. It combines exceptional picture clarity, high brightness levels, built-in virtual surround sound, and the ability to stream video and music through Google TV, making it a perfect addition to any entertainment setup.

7. Segway Navimow X3 Series

Segway

At CES each year, a variety of robot lawnmowers make their debut, but the Segway Navimow X3 Series stands out by addressing many of the common issues found in its competitors. Notably, this new model is equipped with a built-in trimmer on the side, ensuring that lawn edges are neatly maintained. Additionally, it boasts accelerated mowing speeds, allowing it to cover up to 1.5 acres in just 24 hours.

A major concern for many robot mower users is the often-neglected edges of the lawn. However, the Navimow X3 Series solves this problem by incorporating a side-mounted trimmer, which works as it moves, delivering a crisp, well-trimmed lawn every time. This model will be available this spring, though pricing details are yet to be announced.

In addition to the Navimow X3 Series, other noteworthy robot mowers from CES include the Lymow One, which features caterpillar tracks instead of wheels. This design enables the mower to tackle slopes and rough terrain with ease, and it will be available for $2,999 in April. Another highlight is the Mammotion Luba mini and Yuka mini, both compact versions of the brand’s popular robot mowers, offering versatility and performance in a smaller size.

Will these products outlast the hype after release?

As CES 2025 showcased an array of impressive non-AI innovations, one lingering question remains: will these products outlast the hype once they hit the market?

From Ugreen’s revolutionary 500W charger to Hisense’s stunning Mini LED and Laser TV models, these tech wonders promise to transform everyday experiences. The Swippitt’s lightning-fast phone charging and Hypershell’s AI-powered exoskeleton may redefine convenience and performance, while the Bebird EarSight Flow introduces an entirely new approach to personal care.

However, history has shown that not all CES innovations live up to their initial excitement. While the promise is undeniably thrilling, it remains to be seen whether these products can maintain their appeal beyond the trade show buzz and deliver lasting value for consumers.
